Why is the website called codege? ( 2009-07-12 )

The word codege is the abbreviation of the words "CODE GEnerating". In fact, there is also a french word "codage", which means "coding" and looks almost like "codege".

Which technologies are used to create this website? ( 2009-07-12 )

I've used HTML+CSS, PHP and special Tcl script for pre-generating the site pages and RSS feeds.

Why not use the already finished engine for websites? ( 2009-07-12 )

I want to get experience in building websites using PHP and related technologies. In doing so, I want to obtain the optimal code of the site, using the dynamic creation of pages only where it is really needed.

Why is the program called VISG? ( 2009-07-12 )

I needed a short and unique name of the program. But all the names, which I had constructed for this program, was already used by someone. Finally, I'd constructed the name "VISG" (VIsual and Smart Gui builder).

Which technologies are used to create VISG? ( 2009-07-12 )

Approximately half of the code (if counting in lines) is written in C with a small admixture of C++, and the other half — in a special scripting language. Own scripting language is used to facilitate the process of coding new plugins, because this language is a well-sharpened for making the primary objective of the program — code generation.

Where is the Xlib code generator? ( 2009-07-13 )

The Xlib source generator is in a very early stage of development, but it can be found in the directory of the program "visg/plugins/gen_c_xlib.vsg"
